Responsibilities
Responsible for daily injury assessment, care, treatment, rehabilitation, and necessary medical referrals for all lacrosse athletes. Provides medical coverage for all practices, regular season, and post-season home and away meets.
Responsible for daily operations of the Morcom Aquatics Athletic Training Facility.
Responsible for sports medicine oversight of 1 certified athletic training intern or graduate assistant assigned to Lacrosse. Also responsible for direct supervision of all undergraduate athletic training students assigned to Lacrosse.
Responsible for coordinating the chiropractic and massage therapy clinics. Also responsible to disseminate all relevant paperwork
Maintain working relationships and open communication with administration, sports medicine director, coaching staff, team physicians, and other outside healthcare professionals
Responsible to conduct and ensure CPR compliance of all sport / strength & conditioning coaches.
Responsible to coordinate annual modality calibrations
Responsible to update and stock all insurance and pharmacy payment binders.
Responsible for appropriate documentation of student-athlete medical records in Injury Zone and ensure all documentation is maintained in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, State of Florida, and FSU Sports Medicine policies.
Will maintain professional continuing education units and professional credentialing / licensing as outlined by the NATA and State of Florida laws.
