Position Summary Information
Primary Purpose
Reporting to the CFO and EVP for Finance and Operations, the Director of Risk Management & Insurance is responsible for building and administering the University's risk management and insurance programs. This position directs and leads the development of risk management strategies and related policies and procedures. They influence University risk owners to manage and mitigate operational risks.

Work performed during normal business hours. May be requested to work additional hours to meet business needs or deadlines. Some travel is required to other campuses or conferences / meetings.
Externally imposed deadlines : set and revised beyond one's control. Interruptions influence priorities, making it difficult to anticipate the nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days. Meeting deadlines and coordinating unrelated activities are key to the position. May involve conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis.
Hiring Range
$130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
