Wieland is hiring a Local Driver . The Local Driver will be responsible for transporting raw materials and manufactured products across the United States and the globe, and we're looking for an experienced Class A CDL driver to make local deliveries! Most delivery locations are within 150 miles of our campus, so you are going to be home every night. Our business is growing, and we need to expand! We pay very well and look out for our drivers with that human touch! This role is located in Granite City, IL , and will be fully on-site.

Hourly Pay Range : $25 / hr - $30 / hr with a $0.55 - $0.60 CPM

Work Schedule : 6 am - 2 : 30 pm

Pay Schedule : Weekly

The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be based upon various factors unique to each individual that may include, but are not limited to, years of experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, education, qualifications, etc.

Responsibilities

Local Driver Responsibilities :

Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues with correct documentation.

• Comply with DOT rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations.
• Ability to ensure trailers are locked out and chocked before loading / unloading.
• Maintains driver log according to DOT regulations.
• Maintains contact with supervisor, dispatcher, scale house operator to receive work instructions.
• Work in a timely, safe, and responsible manner to meet customer or company requirements.
