Description : JOB DESCRIPTION :
We're looking for a reliable and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team in Elmont. As a line cook, you’ll play a key role in preparing delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. From prepping ingredients to executing dishes with consistency, you’ll help keep service running smoothly and our customers happy.
REPORTS TO : Kitchen Manager
LOCATION : The Elmont
Pay / GRADE LEVEL : Hourly / Non-Exempt
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen during and after shifts
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed
- Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Adapt to daily prep and service needs based on volume
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role preferredKnowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong teamwork and communication skillsMust be dependable and punctualFood Handler’s Certification is a plus (or willing to obtain)WORKING CONDITIONS :
Work is typically performed in the resort. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work involves a majority of standing, bending, stooping, twisting, climbing and some lifting up to 50 lbs.Requirements :
