District Overview
TIC Power (TICP) is a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation that provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a non-union craft force. Strength in estimating and pre-project planning. Constructing cogeneration, combined-cycle, geothermal and waste-to-energy generation and resource facilities. TIC Power builds major EPC power plant projects throughout North America.

Responsibilities
Field Engineering :
- Assist in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
- Assist in managing the Document Control procedure in the field
- Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining the percentage of completed / installed materials and work
- Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages
- Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built data
- Assure that quality inspections are being done and sign-off documentation is collected / assist in managing the quality plan
- Assist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets and calculating daily costs
- Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s)
- Participate in job site safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training
- Order and schedule material deliveries
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the job site
- Supervise field operations
- Assist in managing subcontractors
Office Engineering :
Perform material takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and other contract documentsPerform basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operationAssist Engineers to gather and prepare data for submittal or transmittal to the customer, vendors, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and internal useAssist in the preparation of purchase orders and subcontracts, performing minor solicitations and purchasing as requestedAssist in scheduling maintenance and performing updates as directed by othersAssist with Document Control to ensure that only current revisions of documentation are being usedAssist in the maintenance of basic project recordkeeping and correspondence functions including daily reports, photographs, requests for information (RFIs), and memorandumsAssist with entering data into the job cost system and participate in reviewing cost reports with jobsite managementAssist in generating change orders and as-built data to be reviewed by the Project ManagerProvide field support and supervise subcontractor operationsPrepare documentation for weekly and monthly reports to managementEstimating :
Assist in reviewing and analyzing historical data relative to the project, incorporating various productions and costs appropriate in preparation of a bidComplete a plan and specification review for an assigned project, assessing the risk areas and bringing them to the attention of the supervisorComplete material and quantity takeoffs according to bid documentsLI-CB1
Qualifications
Ability to travel and relocate as needed3+ years' field experience in electrical, mechanical or piping within construction or industrial projects.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsWorking knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong organizational and time management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsGood attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepanciesStrong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job doneAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamAbility to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environmentsAbility to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the futureOther Requirements :
