JOB DESCRIPTION

WPBF 25, the ABC affiliate in Palm Beach Gardens, FL is looking for a creative Promotions Writer Producer to join our Creative Services team in beautiful South Florida!

This position will require you to write, shoot, edit and produce promotion for all media platforms. As a Promotions Writer Producer, you will create station image promotion that advances our brand and gets noticed in a competitive market. You will write and produce daily news promos that help with station campaigns and marketing projects and assist the Creative Services department in other tasks, as assigned. If you love to learn, collaborate, take initiative and create high quality promos, then this job is for you!

Responsibilities

  • Produce, write, shoot and edit dynamic on-air promos and image campaigns from start to finish.
  • Create station news and weather image promos.
  • Be creative while forwarding our brand of Live. Local. Late Breaking.
  • Work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate as a team on concepts and projects
  • Direct shoots in the studio and on location

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in TV, writing, producing and editing
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Strong writing skills
  • Working knowledge of lighting and audio gear
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully interact with all departments
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends when needed
  • Related military experience will be considered
