Description : Quality Specialist
Summary :
The Quality Specialist ensures daily quality standards are met across all molding presses by inspecting in-process materials and final products. This role supports Quality Control personnel, inspects incoming raw materials, and is responsible for releasing finished molded parts that meet company and customer specifications.
- Please note that this position will require some night and weekend shifts after initial training.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Conduct routine inspections of molded parts at the press to verify adherence to dimensional, visual, and functional standardsSupport QC personnel with in-process checks and quality documentationInspect and verify the quality of incoming raw materials (e.g., resin, packaging)Approve and release finished plastic parts for shipment or further processingUse quality management software (e.g., IQMS, ERP) to document inspections and track nonconformancesReport quality issues promptly and collaborate with production and engineering teams on corrective actionsAssist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Maintain and update quality procedures, check sheets, and inspection recordsParticipate in internal audits and support compliance with customer and regulatory requirementsPromote and support continuous improvement initiatives within the molding operationQualifications :
3+ years of experience as a Quality Control (QC) or Quality Assurance (QA) technician in a manufacturing environmentSupervisory or lead experience preferredBackground in packaging and inspection of molded products is highly desirableProficiency with Microsoft Excel and quality / production software (e.g., IQMS, ERP systems)Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and communication skillsAbility to interpret part drawings, specifications, and use basic measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)High school diploma or equivalentCompany Details :
