Hours Per Week : 37.5 hours

Schedule : 6 : 30 AM to 2 : 30 PM, with rotating weekends

SUMMARY :

Responsible for the functions of the diet office and hospitality services which includes the organization and input of patient / resident menus to ensure accuracy of diet orders, timeliness of meal delivery and facilitates interdepartmental coordination.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Serves as a liaison between Food and Nutrition Services and other departments, ensuring accurate communication regarding patient meals, diets, and nutritional needs.
• Delivers meals and nourishments in accordance with patient identification protocols and supports all aspects of meal service operations.
• Applies knowledge of dietary guidelines, including fluid restrictions, tube feedings, and special diet standards, to ensure accurate meal preparation and service.
• Accurately transfers patient dietary information—including allergies and diet orders—into menu software to generate appropriate meal selections and reports.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff to address dietary concerns and uphold high standards of customer service and professionalism.
• Maintains clean, safe, and organized work areas, records refrigeration temperatures, answers calls, manages supplies, and ensures compliance with facility protocols.
• Attends all required meetings and in-service trainings, supports software backup procedures, and performs additional department duties as assigned.

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
