Instructional Systems Specialist

Description

As the Instructional Systems Specialist (ISS), you will support the U.S. Navy's Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) program. In this role, you will develop and maintain training curricula in support of major Navy platforms and missions. This position is remote; however, candidates must reside within a two-hour driving distance of NAWCTSD in Orlando, FL . Occasional on-site presence may be required.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide knowledge and expertise in the operation, employment, maintenance, or repair of systems, subsystems, or equipment related to military training systems.
• Incorporate current technology into instruction to enhance delivery and learning outcomes.
• Review and provide quality assurance for content at all stages of development to ensure compliance with Navy standards and contract requirements.
• Support the Industrial / Organizational (I / O) Psychologist in developing human performance metrics.
• Conduct training situation analyses and job task analyses to inform course design and synthetic training systems.
• Document analyses and curriculum design decisions in accordance with professional and contractual standards.
• Support the evaluation of instructional effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Oversee the production and review courseware as part of computer-based, web-based, and distributed learning training.
• Serve as advisor and consultant to various NAWCTSD Orlando acquisition functions and other Navy and DOD organizations on matters relating to instructional technologies and methodologies.
• Position will require up to 40% annual travel, with 20-25% being the average.
