Capital Women's Care is a premier OB / GYN network serving the Greater Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland region. Our GYN Oncology division (MAGOPSA) is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our busy practice. Full-Time | Fairfax, VA
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to) :
- Provide comprehensive care for assigned patients in collaboration with supervising physicians, following established clinical standards, procedures, and protocols.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for surgical and oncology patients, including post-surgical management.
- Prescribe and manage drug therapies under physician direction and in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Conduct health assessments for patients with acute and chronic health conditions, with a focus on gynecologic oncology.
- Initiate and interpret selected diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, consultations, and laboratory studies.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate collaborative practice agreements in designated clinical areas.
- Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment options, surgical care, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Serve as a clinical resource for staff and support ongoing education and training initiatives.
- Stay current with developments in oncology and evidence-based practices.
- Participate in approved clinical research studies as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications :
Master's Degree and successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.Certification and active license as a Nurse Practitioner (Required).Minimum of 2 years of oncology experience (Gynecologic Oncology preferred).Preferred Qualifications :
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively counsel and support patients and families.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment and manage complex patient needs.Compensation & Benefits :
