Now hiring an Occupational Therapist Part Time at SWAN OUTPATIENT CLINIC in Goodyear AZ!

  • Position : Occupational Therapist
  • Type : Part Time-
  • Location : 13481 West McDowell Road Goodyear AZ 85395

Who we are looking for :

Provide 1 : 1patient care in 60-minute treatment sessions focusing on functional rehabilitation for adults with neurological injuries

Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of passionate skilled therapists (PT / OT / SLP / COTA / PTA) to focus on patient-centered outcomes

Provide personalized care in an innovative outpatient setting utilizing the latest technology and equipment including Bioness BITS FES biVABA Assistive Technology and more!

    • Responsibilities

    What you will do : Responsibilities listed include but not limited to :

  • Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans
  • Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans attend staffing meetings and family conferences
  • Perform discharge evaluations make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety and provide referral and education resources
  • Communicate patients needs and progress to the treatment team physician person receiving services and family members
  • Communicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes

    • Qualifications

    What you will need :

  • Minimum of a bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university with an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current unrestricted license as an Occupational Therapist by state in which practicing
  • Current CPR Certification
  • A minimum of one years work experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological diagnoses preferred
  • Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interaction
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Moving lifting or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
  • Duties require fine motor skills visual acuityand walking / standing for extended periods
  • Additional physical requirements include : pushing / pulling bending / stooping reaching kneeling and positioning frequently at times

  • SWAN Rehab is staffed by physical occupational and speech therapists as well as vocational specialists including neuropsychologists and social workers trained in neurological rehabilitation
  • SWAN Rehab works with Northern Arizona University and AT Still University and Arizona State University for clinical research
  • Each treatment session is a full hour of one-on-one therapy with a therapist not a technician
