Description :

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Medicine.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency setting.

Candidates must possess basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, and trauma nursing core course certifications.

The Emergency Department has a bed capacity of 48, with a patient ratio of 4 : 1 in the main area and 6 : 1 in Fast Track.

The Emergency Department utilizes various equipment including a Zoll Defibrillator, blood transfuser, and point-of-care devices.

The position involves team nursing and a pod system approach, with a social worker assigned to the department and an educator for support.

The typical patient population includes individuals with chronic conditions, as well as patients experiencing psychiatric issues.

Common diagnoses treated include end-stage renal disease, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure, abdominal pain, and chest pain.

This is a dynamic role requiring keen assessment skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
