MEDICAL ASSISTANT APPRENTICE

We are searching for a driven, enthusiastic apprentice to join our medical assistant / dental assistant teams. The apprentice's responsibilities include learning and developing practical skills, participating in classes and workshops on and offsite, observing all health and safety codes, completing tests and assignments, as well as delivering presentations to staff and other stakeholders. You should be well-organized, flexible, and willing to assist wherever possible.

To be successful as an apprentice - medical assistant / dental assistant, you must have great time management skills and be willing to fit into the existing staff structure. Outstanding apprentice - medical assistants / dental assistants are those who respond well to criticism, build good relationships with colleagues, and ultimately make a lasting impression.

Apprentice Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities of the apprentice - medical assistants / dental assistants include :

  • Learn and Develop Trade Skills - As an employee-in-training, the apprentice should exhibit an enthusiasm to learn and an interest in the medical / dental clinic. They should display an eagerness to build their knowledge and be willing to put in the effort to develop their skills.
  • Attend Training Classes - The apprentice will be involved in on-the-job training as well as medical / dental-related classes. The apprentice may be required to attend workshops and participate in as many learning opportunities as possible. The apprentice will assist within the medical / dental department, but also learning about other aspects of the company.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations - Health and safety regulations are important, so the apprentice must adhere to the business' set standards as well as comply to legal regulations. This will help ensure the safety of both the apprentice and colleagues. The apprentice will observe all health and safety procedures.
  • Complete Training Assignments - The apprentice's work is done during business hours, however, there is often a need to do homework out of work hours. Apprentices need to complete all homework to build their knowledge and skillset and to meet the requirements of the apprenticeship program. The apprentice will completing all tests, presentations, and other required evaluations. The apprentice will keep a log of everything learned.
  • Follow Company Processes - The apprentice needs to follow all rules established by People's Center. The apprentice is responsible for strictly adhering to the policies, procedures, and processes of People's Center. The apprentice will attending scheduled meetings and offer suggestions for improvement. The apprentice will build professional relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.

Apprentice Education and Training Requirements

  • The minimum education requirement to become an apprentice is a high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants will need to have good physical strength and hand-eye coordination.
  • Good time management, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills.
  • A growth mindset and passion for learning; the dedication to learning and willingness to put in the extra time and effort to build their knowledge and experience.
  • Time Management is important, and the apprentice will need to meet strict schedules, as they are working on projects alongside their colleagues.
  • Troubleshooting and identifying problems as well as finding ways to resolve them is key to being an apprentice, so applicants need to be good at problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • 08 : 00 am to 05 : 00 pm, Mondays to Fridays
