Schedule : Full Time Shift : Days Location : 900 WINDERLEY PL, Maitland, 32751 The community you'll be caring for : AdventHealth Orlando + Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando + Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America + AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country + We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year The role you'll contribute : The Clinical Documentation Integrity Physician Educator is a Registered Nurse, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, or Foreign Medical Graduate with a high level of clinical proficiency necessary to help in facilitating education and communication of Clinical Documentation Integrity concepts to our Physician Partners and Advanced Practitioners. Must have proven clinical background of at least 5 years or more in the acute care setting and at least 2 years of Clinical Documentation Integrity skills that will provide Clinical Documentation Integrity concepts and promote effective and efficient review of physician documentation that supports the patient's level of care and develop action plans for improvement in physician documentation and documentation practices. The Clinical Documentation Integrity Physician Educator will report directly to the Regional Clinical Documentation Director and will work extensively with CDI teams, physicians, Chief Medical Officers, Chief Financial Offers, Chief Nursing Officers, and Physician Advisors of the 9 facilities in the South Florida Division in a matrix relationship to provide continuing education and coordinate the efficient review and documentation capture of the underlying conditions that are supported by the physicians' secondary review of the patient record, upon request of the CDI Director and Vice President of Clinical Services. Works under general supervision and utilizes critical thinking skills. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. The value you'll bring to the team : Educates and trains physicians, physician groups, graduate medical externs, and Advanced Practice Providers on clinical documentation integrity. + Develops and delivers training programs on clinical documentation. + Stays updated on clinical documentation guidelines and standards. + Audits clinical documentation and provides feedback to improve accuracy. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed Associate's of Nursing Nursing Degree (RN, BS, BSN, or advanced degree) or Foreign Medical Graduate + 5 Work Experience + Registered Nurse (RN) + American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) + Physician Assistant (PA) + Medical Doctor (MD) This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
