The Assistant Dean of the School of Engineering ("the School") is a key leadership position, requiring a balance of administrative, academic, and interpersonal skills. The Assistant Dean must have a passion for fostering academic excellence, a dedication to student success, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to lead in a dynamic and collaborative academic environment.

• Supports the Dean in executing the School's mission, promoting academic excellence, and enhancing the overall student experience within the School;

Other special projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

The applicant shall be a tenured faculty member in the School of Engineering (preferably holding the rank of Associate Professor or Professor) at Manhattan University. The individual will not hold any other administrative responsibility (such as Department Chair, Graduate Program Director, etc.) at the University concurrently with the Assistant Dean position.

Compensation :

The Assistant Dean will receive course release resulting in an effective 2 : 2 teaching load and a separate administrative stipend during the summer. This will be a 12-month appointment. The initial appointment will be for one year and has the possibility for renewal.
