Administrative Coordinator
The Administrative Coordinator provides leadership and coordinates clerical activities of administrative staff working within the clinic site. The position reports directly to the Clinic Administrator or Administrative Supervisor. The Administrative Coordinator is the primary management and communication link to the administrative staff and is responsible for assuring high quality administrative service to Kelsey-Seybold patients. The position is responsible for implementing standards, policies and procedures formulated and recommended by Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Evaluates patient flow and administrative service provided by the administrative staff. Identifies and manages problems associated with administrative patient services and initiates appropriate decisions and solutions
- Implements and monitors administrative service standards, protocols, policies and procedures. Assists Administrative Supervisor and / or Clinic Administrator in main training appropriate administrative staff ratios
- Performs in a line administrative position and coordinates the daily operational activities of the administrative staff within the clinic
- Orders supplies and maintains appropriate inventory levels to maintain cost effective administrative operations
- Identifies and monitors methods to improve quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness in administrative patient services
- Assists with reviewing patient accounts to determine accuracy and forwards pertinent documentation to Business Office, if applicable
- Remains accessible to administrative staff on a daily basis for purposes of problem solving and planning administrative patient services
- Provides feedback to the Administrative Supervisor / Clinic Administrator regarding administrative staff and assists with employee performance evaluations
- Identifies performance problems at the time they occur, provides feedback to the employee in a timely manner and communicates this information to the Administrative Supervisor / Clinic Administrator
- Works with Administrative Supervisor / Clinic Administrator to evaluate staffing and scheduling. Performs other duties as assigned by the Administrative Supervisor / Clinic Administrator

Required Qualifications :
High School diploma or G.E.D3+ years medical office experience to include the following : Face-to-face customer service, cash handling, patient registration, appointment scheduling, medical billing, charge entry / capture, experience & knowledge of managed care; OR3+ years KSC medical office experienceBasic PC Literacy. Alpha / Num Forms EntryFamiliarity with 10-Key by touchProven excellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated basic math abilityDemonstrated ability to speak, understand and write EnglishDriver's License and access to a reliable transportationPreferred Qualifications :
Associate or bachelor's degree in related field4+ years of direct face-to-face customer service experienceInsurance / Managed Care experience / trainingCashiering experienceKSC experience10-key by touch and / or data entry experienceMicrosoft Word & Excel proficiencyBilingual- English / SpanishPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.74 to $31.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
