Role Summary

The Director Of Engineering will lead the Global Operations Engineering team for Data Center Cooling Products. This role is responsible for releasing new products into the factories and ensuring manufacturability, high quality, and predictable costs. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in HVAC and a proven track record of leading cross-functional, global teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute a global engineering strategy to support the company's mission of delivering cutting-edge data center cooling solutions.
  • Process Alignment : Standardize and optimize engineering processes across all manufacturing facilities to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality in production.
  • Team Management : Oversee and mentor a global team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and offer management teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
  • Technical Expertise : Provide technical guidance on HVAC systems, with a focus on data center cooling technologies, including liquid cooling, air cooling, and hybrid systems.
  • Global Coordination : Manage engineering projects across multiple sites, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Compliance And Safety : Ensure all engineering processes and products comply with global regulatory standards, safety requirements, and environmental guidelines.
  • Budget And Resource Management : Oversee engineering budgets, allocate resources effectively, and drive cost optimization without compromising quality.

    • Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience :

    • 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of aligning engineering processes across multiple global manufacturing sites.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Skills :

    • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate global teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in process optimization methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Familiarity with global regulatory standards and industry best practices for manufacturing and quality.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

    • Experience in HVAC systems design and manufacturing, ideally with expertise in data center cooling technologies (e.g., precision cooling, chillers, CRAC / CRAH units, liquid cooling systems).

  • Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient cooling solutions.
  • Prior experience in a global manufacturing environment within the HVAC center or related industry.

    • Travel Requirements

  • Travel domestically and internationally (up to 30%) to support global factory operations and collaboration with regional teams.
