Join our Cardiovascular Intermediate Care team as a Registered Nurse (RN) delivering high-acuity, post-operative cardiac care to patients recovering from CABG, valve repair / replacement, aortic procedures, and thoracic surgeries. Daily responsibilities include continuous telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring, early recognition and intervention for arrhythmias, managing chest tubes and epicardial pacing wires, administering and titrating cardiac medications per protocol, meticulous wound and sternal precaution care, pain management, early ambulation and pulmonary hygiene, comprehensive patient and family education for discharge (incision care, medications, lifestyle modifications), and accurate EMR documentation. This role will collaborate closely with cardiovascular surgeons, APPs, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and PT / OT to coordinate evidence-based, patient-centered care while supporting unit quality and safety initiatives (infection prevention, falls, readmissions). This is a full-time Night shift position.
