About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Surgery - Cardiovascular & Thoracic Nurse Practitioner for a 42-day locum tenens assignment in Indiana. This opportunity begins on Jan 19, 2026, featuring a 7 on 7 off night shift schedule from 7p-7a. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing cases and procedures in both ICU and stepdown settings, and will provide critical inpatient support by conducting daily rounds, new consults, and patient discharges.

Responsibilities and Duties
Perform daily rounding on all inpatients in ICU and stepdown unitsEvaluate new consults as assignedManage patient dischargesSee an average of 10-15 patients daily; total patient census typically 20-30Deliver care for cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patientsDocument patient information and care in Cerner EMRAdditional Information
Active Nurse Practitioner license required in IndianaBasic Life Support (BLS) certification requiredMust be comfortable with relevant inpatient procedures and case managementBenefits
