We recently raised our seed round from incredible investors (to be announced) and are looking for gritty, fast-learning engineers to join us.

About the role

You’ll own how Pointer lands – embedding with customers to discover their processes, build automations, and drive measurable ROI. This is the tip of the spear for how Pointer goes to market.

This is a role for someone who loves doing it all. One day you're shadowing an operations team to map their workflows, the next you're building a custom automation, and the next you're presenting ROI metrics to their CFO. You are equal parts engineer, operator, and business partner.

What you’ll work on

Partnering with customers to discover processes and understand how work actually gets done – shadowing, mapping workflows, and identifying the repetitive tasks that can be automated

Building and deploying automations tailored to each customer's systems, edge cases, and operational reality

Measuring outcomes and proving ROI : hours saved, throughput increased, error rates reduced

Owning the feedback loop : patterns you find in the field directly shape what we build into the platform

Representing Pointer externally : demoing features, writing technical posts, and being a trusted partner to our customers

You’ll be a good fit if

You’re a strong generalist engineer : comfortable across backend (Node, Postgres), frontend (React / TypeScript), and ML-adjacent tasks (model fine-tuning / agent configuration)

You have excellent communication skills and can translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders

You think in terms of business outcomes

You’re comfortable jumping into ambiguous problems and finding creative solutions fast

You have experience in solutions engineering, growth engineering, or as a technical founder
