Operations Manager Role :

  • The Operations Manager will assist General Manager in executing the overall direction and coordination of the local business unit.
  • This role will lead-safe work practices and lean management of the transportation and delivery function.
  • The Operations Manager will work closely with the Team to ensure accountability for inbound / outbound logistics.
  • They will report to General Manager.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist with overseeing day-to-day operations.
  • Design strategy and set goals for growth.
  • Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.
  • Set policies and processes.
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
  • Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
  • Direct the employee assessment process.
  • Prepare regular reports for upper management.
  • Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations.
  • Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors).

    • Job Requirements :

  • Ability to work flexible schedules / shifts.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
  • Able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation :
  • Lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and / or stretch during shifts up to 10 hours long.
  • Lift, push, pull, and move boxes up to 70 pounds each.
  • Move up and down stairs.

    • Basic Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience interacting with Independent Contractors (Delivery Service Providers).

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience with final mile deliveries.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Spanish speaking preferred
