The Opportunity :

The Product Development Coordinator will develop, implement and provide coordinated processes within the Product Management team to further support Bill of Materials (BOM), Technical Support and Specials.  The Product Management Coordinator will interface with varying departments outside of Product Management to include but not limited to Engineering, Sales, Training, Marketing to resolve client issues, follow through on customer requests

Essential duties and responsibilities :

  • Identifies, recommends and executes processes that streamline or otherwise improve operations within the team and function
  • Effectively responds to and prioritizes multiple requests for service from customers and sales reps alike
  • Ability to document conversations concisely yet with enough detail that others can understand what transpired
  • Collaborates with Production and Distribution Center teams to ensure custom orders have accurate and timely fulfillment dates
  • Follows up with Production and Distribution Center teams to ensure escalated orders are completed and shipped in the promised timeframe
  • Performs order entry according to the standard operating procedure for stock items and Company same-day shipping goal
  • Checks purchase orders for completeness and contacts customers or sales reps to resolve discrepancies
  • Responds to customers via phone and email
  • Responsible for interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies
  • Vet initial sales opportunities and identify possible product and vendor solutions for Specials and BSD requests
  • Deliver and define release package, MOQs, IOQs, purchase price, specs, vendor information to Supply Chain for proper and accurate product and component orders
  • Define, create, and communicate packaging requirements to Supply Chain and vendors
  • Build, assemble, and wire rapid prototypes for customer needs
  • Create Special spec sheets and documentation as required for customers and Sales
  • Verify customer and engineering drawings match vendor drawings and specs
  • Coordinate testing requirements with Engineering, Test Lab, IQC, and vendors to meet project timelines
  • Define product compliance needs with Sales / customers and support in the Compliance process
  • Track project timelines and interface with internal departments to meet customer and development delivery dates
  • Utilize existing process tools to document project information, specs, quotes, etc. (Trello, Spreadsheets, Forms, Shared Drives, etc.)
  • Performs related duties, as required

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related field and / or
  • Minimum of two (2) of order processing experience and cross-functional coordination activities required, or equivalent combination of training and experience within relevant industry
