Job Description

Job Title : Physical Therapist

Job Specialty : Physical Therapy

Shift : 8-hour days, Monday to Friday, with alternating weekends

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : Licensed by the State of Texas - Physical Therapist

Certifications : Healthcare Provider BLS

Must-Have :

  • General acute care experience, including critical care
  • Ability to supervise PTAs and Rehab Techs

Job Description :

  • Treat approximately 8-10 patients per day with an expectation of completing one evaluation per hour worked.
  • Primarily handle evaluations but may also complete treatments with an expected rate of 1.25 treatments per worked hour.
  • Work in a general acute care hospital setting, focusing on telemetry, oncology, critical care, neuro, orthopedic, surgical, and general medical cases.
  • Cover acute inpatient hospital areas, with potential to float to nearby hospital campuses as needed.
  • Adhere to a schedule of 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm, including a 30-minute lunch, with alternating weekend shifts considered as every other weekend.
  • Responsible for working on major holidays as per staffing needs.
  • Dress code requires maroon scrubs, which will not be provided by the employer.
  • Department-specific orientation can last up to 9 days, depending on experience level.
  • Maintain charting using the MEDITECH system.
