FPGA Design & Verification Engineer

The Air Dominance and Strike (AD&S) Electrical Engineering Team is responsible for developing high-reliability avionics, embedded processing, and power systems for Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms. Working across hardware, software, and mission autonomy, the team delivers flight-critical electronics, PCB assemblies, and FPGA-based processing architectures that enable Anduril's next-generation autonomous air platforms to operate in complex and contested environments. AD&S Electrical Engineers drive end-to-end development, from system architecture and circuit design to verification, integration, and flight test, ensuring scalable, mission-ready solutions that meet the performance, reliability, and survivability demands of the U.S. Military and modern air warfare.
We are looking for an FPGA Design & Verification Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design and verification of projects on the Xilinx SOC / FPGA platforms and helping to establish robust design processes. This will require expertise in SystemVerilog, FPGA, and Xilinx.
What You'll Do :
- Rapidly develop, test, and implement FPGA designs using Xilinx SoCs / FPGAs
- Integrate third-party vendors IP, as necessary
- Perform digital circuit design, SystemVerilog coding, FPGA image generation (synthesis, implementation, STA, constraints), simulation verification, and HW validation
- Participate in entire design life cycle : from requirements and concept, through design and hands on testing / board bring up
- Implement a variety of signal types such as high speed comms (ethernet, serial) and signal processing (analog, digital)
- Ensure designs meet all relevant safety and performance standards, with traceability back to top-level system requirements, as necessary
- Investigate and resolve bugs found during hands on testing (at HDL level and system level)
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field5+ years of experience in HDL and FPGA hardware design, experience with Xilinx SoC is highly preferredFamiliarity with design software like Vivado (preferred) or QuartusProficient in SystemVerilogAbility to work in a fast-paced, challenging environmentExcellent problem-solving and organizational skillsStrong communication and teamwork skillsExperience in SoC hardware bring-up, preferably on ARM-based systemsEligible to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearancePreferred Qualifications :
