Location : Oakland and Pleasant Hill CA

Job Type : Full-Time | In-Person

We are a dynamic and patient-focused practice specializing in Prosthetic and Orthotic devices , seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring a smooth and professional experience for our patients across all locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients and their families with professionalism and warmth.
  • Accurately input and maintain patient data in compliance with HIPAA and internal policies.
  • Collect and verify insurance information, including eligibility and benefits.
  • Authorization check and submission for commercial insurances and Medicare
  • Collecting and posting patient financial responsibility
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support patient care.
  • Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Collect patient financial responsibility at the time of service.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure processes are being followed for timely patient care and claim resolution.

    • Support Responsibilities (as needed)

  • Support Receptionist with answering and managing a multi-line telephone system.
  • Support Receptionist with scheduling patient appointments

    • Qualifications

  • Customer service-oriented
  • Experienced in handling multiple-line phones
  • Proficient and accurate data entry skills
  • Prior experience in a medical office or Orthotics & Prosthetics (O&P) is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a bonus
  • Proficient in general computer systems.
  • Strong organizational and clerical skills.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Clear and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing tasks and environments with a proactive mindset.
  • Must be a collaborative team player.
