Equipment Technician Q3C CO

As a member of the operations team the Equipment Technician specializing in fusion and rubber goods is responsible for the maintenance of fusion equipment and the visual electrical and mechanical testing of rubber goods. This role plays a critical part in ensuring worker safety by maintaining the integrity and compliance of high-voltage PPE used in electrical operations.

Position Expectations :

• Perform routine maintenance troubleshoot diagnose and resolve issues with fusion equipment
• Operate glove testing equipment maintaining calibration of testing devices.
• Operate fusion equipment ensuring proper alignment and adherence to specifications.
• Document test results accurately and maintain detailed records to meet safety standards of the company OSHA ASTM and NAIL.
• Assist with inventory management of glove and fusion equipment.
• Sort label and package gloves appropriately after testing (pass / fail).
• Remain adaptable in fast-paced or high-volume environments.
• Inventory all dielectric items
• Issue and track dielectric items
• Track calibration dates and provide reports to division managers
• Schedule glove change outs with division managers
• Clean test and calibrate hot sticks and shotguns
• May be responsible for managing the inventory of fusion equipment including check-in / check-out procedures.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues with fusion equipment.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft programs-WORD XCEL etc.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned
