Job Requirements
Sweetwater, the nation’s #1 online retailer of pro audio equipment and music instruments, is seeking to hire a Workday Finance Architect. In this role, you will serve as the Workday Finance system subject matter expert and primary contact for day-to-day support of Workday Finance business processes, integrations, reporting, dashboards, configuration, and Adaptive Planning to ensure consistent and high-quality business operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the Finance architect in Workday Financial Management and Adaptive Planning, including system design, configuration and administration responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations related to financial data within Workday.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into Workday system requirements.
- Adhere to Workday best practices, including data governance, security and compliance.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and documentation to support business operations and decision-making.
- Partner with IT and HR teams to test, deploy and maintain system updates and enhancements. Review upgrade documentation and ensure existing processes will continue to operate as expected.
- Assist in managing finance test environment(s) and ensure system changes are vetted before being placed into a production environment.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity within Workday Financials by conducting regular audits and data analysis.
- Analyze data and configuration changes to support the financial audit.
- Respond quickly to complex situations that arise, resolve technical system issues, while also making recommendations for improvements.
- Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training to improve policy and process acumen; provide training and support to users as needed and contribute to a culture of continuous education.
- Provide insights on current and emerging Workday functionality and propose changes and enhancements to optimize the Workday system.
- Lead Workday Finance projects and participate and collaborate in cross-functional projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Familiarity with Workday reporting, such as Advanced Reporting and OfficeConnect.5+ years of experience in Workday Finance areas and Adaptive Planning. Experience as a Workday Finance Architect or similar role preferred.Experience with Workday Financials implementation preferred.Strong understanding of Accounting & Finance processes and concepts, and general accounting operations and compliance.Workday Pro certification in Finance or applicable customer training in Workday Finance or other relative application preferred.Proficiency in Workday security and role-based permissions management.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven record of accomplishment of effectively interfacing, training, and presenting information to multiple levels of an organization.Experience with Workday integrations, including web services, EIBs, and connectors.General knowledge and understanding of data security and consumer privacy standards.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.Sweetwater "Ideal Team Player"
