Talent Space is offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for a client in Gilroy, CA, with the flexibility of 100% remote work and occasional (quarterly) travel to Gilroy, CA.
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our development and support staff. In this role, you will play a critical role in documenting and enhancing our Build Process, as well as diagnosing and resolving product software issues. You will work closely with our technical support and QA teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Document and enhance the Build Process for assembling newly developed or updated Assembler, Rexx, and / or C++ code into a functional package.
- Diagnose and resolve product software issues, either over the phone or in person.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand and address their technical issues.
- Provide technical and customer support as required.
- Utilize working knowledge of Salesforce to track and manage customer support cases.
- Collaborate with development teams to provide feedback and suggestions for product improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IBM mainframe technologies and best practices.
Qualifications
Requires 5-10 years of experience in mainframe technical skills (HALSM) with proficiency in JCL, REXX, and C++.Experience with systems programming on z / VM and / or z / OS platforms is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
