Join our team as a 2026 Summer Intern to support our growing portfolio of work with utility companies. You will be learning and helping to deliver a holistic strategy to focus on external benchmarking and competitive analysis to evaluate and compare performance of utility programs to help drive strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.

This is an entry-level 10-week full time internship that begins in early June 2026. The work may be fully remote from any U.S. location or hybrid from an ICF office depending on individuals location with a preference for those in Missouri or Illinois. Pay is expected to be $23 per hour. At this time we are unable to provide relocation nor housing assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct competitive analysis of utility programs across the industry focusing on cost efficiency performance and participation metrics.
• Determine what program types / designs are meeting and / or surpassing performance indicators ($ / kWh total / kWh participant levels goal achievement percentages etc.).
• Research industry trends best practices and regulatory changes to identify areas for improvement and innovation around program design delivery and performance metrics.
• Work with teams to improve data collection analysis and reporting processes.
• Develop dashboards reports visualizations tools to communicate insights.
• Basic Qualifications
• By start date a minimum of 30 completed college-level credit hours is required preferably energy or environment business economics engineering or related subject.
• Must be able to pass any required background check(s) which may include drug screening.
