This Position reports to :

Supervisor (Production)

Operate rubber injection molding machines to fabricate rubber components. Responsible for the production of molded products.

You will be mainly accountable for :

Safety

  • Understands and follows plant safety and procedures.
  • Avoids or prevents hazardous conditions from developing.
  • Wear appropriate protective equipment as required dress and conducts self in a safe manner.
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly and maintains Lean 5S.
  • Participates in plant safety objectives.

Job Functions

  • Demonstrate ABBs core values and group safety and integrity standards and act accordingly.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with the ABB code of conduct global and local standards tools policies and processes in their assigned areas.
  • Understand and follow plant safety and procedures.
  • Responsible for all aspects of molding operations i.e. work instructions standard operating procedures and revision control
  • Ensure quality operation of the process perform quality checks and controls including adherence to cleaning and maintenance.
  • Maintain pre-determined efficiency standards and productivity rates.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate production records and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Keep track of approved defective units and final product
  • Ensure shift change is completed forms are completed with accurate and appropriate information.
  • Additional duties may be assigned to meet business needs

    • Education and Experience

  • High School diploma / GED is required
  • Prior manufacturing experience or quality control experience Preferred
  • Ability to lift to 40lbs and perform push / pull functions
  • Can work overtime to meet Business Objectives
  • Can work a weekend schedule as needed.

    • Skills and / or Training

  • Ability to read and understand various written instructions in English
  • Bend twist & turn in a safe manner
  • Lift up to 40 Pounds
  • Stand for long periods
  • Good hand dexterity
  • Ability to speak and write in clear English communications
  • Strong math skills
