ER RN Job Details – Peoria, Illinois

Location : Peoria, IL 61637 (Illinois travel nursing jobs)

Facility : Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 1 / 5 / 2026 – End : 4 / 6 / 2026)

Shifts : 12-hour nights (7 : 00pm – 7 : 00am), 3 shifts per week

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Weekend / Holiday : Rotating weekends and holidays

Charting System : EPIC

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1880-$2020

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or proof of application in process

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (2+ years preferred)

Previous travel nurse experience preferred

Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ENPC), TNCC (or TNS)

Proficiency in titrating critical care drips (vasopressors, cardiac, antihypertensives)

Experience in a teaching hospital or SANE RN experience is a plus

Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to life-threatening situations

Must pass a comprehensive drug screen (drug-free campus)

ER RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ER setting

Assess, triage, and manage patients with diverse medical and trauma conditions

Administer and titrate critical care medications and drips

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, charge nurses, and ED techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Interpret and act on cardiac rhythms using Phillips monitors

Draw labs and perform bedside procedures as needed

Participate in trauma care (post-stabilization) and respond to cardiac arrests, strokes, and other emergencies

Maintain accurate documentation in the EPIC electronic health record system

Adhere to all hospital policies, including safety and infection control standards
