About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in industrial manufacturing environments, process optimization, and quality improvement, with specific expertise in brake line assembly, fabrication, and testing. This role is critical to ensuring that our production processes run efficiently, meet quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes for brake line production, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards.

Analyze production data to identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions to reduce waste, downtime, and defects.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, and Production to address manufacturing challenges.

Design and optimize tooling, fixtures, and equipment layouts to enhance workflow and safety.

Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and process capability assessments.

Support the introduction of new products and processes into manufacturing, including prototype builds and process validation.

Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Ensure compliance with quality management systems, industry regulations, and safety standards.

Train operators and maintenance staff on new processes and equipment.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other problem-solving methodologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles, process optimization, and quality control.

Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.

Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Preferred Skills

Experience with brake line testing equipment and quality verification methods.

Knowledge of materials used in brake line production (e.g., steel, copper-nickel).

Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience.

Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
