Practice Resource Center | Tallahassee

Minimum starting salary $52,931.81 with an excellent benefits package including employer paid pension contribution | Employees of The Florida Bar are eligible to apply for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).

Summary function : Assists with the administration of The Florida Bar's Practice Resource Center (PRC). Provides guidance, information, resources, and general assistance to Florida Bar members, and their staff, regarding law office management, legal technology, and all programs within the PRC. Researches PRC podcast topics, recruits guests, drafts episode scripts, and schedules podcast recordings. Maintains and updates the departmental websites for LegalFuel and the LRS. Assists the Director and the Practice Management Advisors. Coordinates with the Programs Division Marketing Manager to promote all PRC programs including LegalFuel, The Florida Bar Career Center, Lawyers Advising Lawyers, and the Lawyer Referral Service to Florida Bar members. Receives and reviews LRS quarterly / annual reports. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize workload, and recommend changes in office practices or procedures.

Required minimum education : Bachelor's Degree (proof of degree required at interview).

Required minimum professional work experience : At least three (3) years of progressively responsible office administrative and customer service experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Member Support & Trust Accounting Guidance. Assist with the daily workflow of the Practice Resource Center. Provide timely and informative support to Florida Bar members, law office staff, and other stakeholders (e.g., bankers, law school faculty) via email, phone, chat, and written correspondence. Assist with inquiries related to trust account procedures in accordance with the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, including requirements for opening or closing accounts. Direct members to relevant resources for starting or winding down a law practice and offer guidance on general practice management, technology tools, free CLE courses, the Lawyers Helpline, The Florida Bar Career Center, Lawyers Advising Lawyers, and the Lawyer Referral Service. Promote departmental programs, collaborate with team members, and contribute to department initiatives including CLEs, podcast topics, and committee and Bar meetings.
  • Research & Content Development. Stay current on trends, tools, and best practices in law office and practice management. Use findings to develop articles, podcast topics, checklists, and guides for publication on LegalFuel.com, The Florida Bar's Practice Resource Center website.
  • Local Bar Association Coordination. Collaborate with local bar associations in support of The Florida Bar's Lawyer Referral Service (LRS), managed by the Practice Resource Center. Review and analyze quarterly and annual reports and follow up to ensure data accuracy and compliance with reporting procedures.
  • Lawyer Referral Service Operations. Support LRS panel members by answering inquiries related to payment processing, case status updates, and program requirements. Post LRS payments, generate and distribute bi-monthly reports, and partner with the Senior LRS Clerk to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Committee Support & Event Assistance. Assist with internal committee work within the Practice Resource Center. Participate in Florida Bar events, including travel to support the Annual Convention and other in-person functions as needed.
  • Additional Duties. Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and objectives of the Practice Resource Center.
