Floor Technician

Description

The Floor Technician is responsible for the maintenance and care of flooring surfaces in commercial healthcare or industrial settings. This includes cleaning buffing stripping waxing and vacuuming floors to ensure a clean and safe environment for staff and visitors.

Full Time 40 Hours a Week - Monday to Friday

$18 Per Hour Weekly Pay

Must be 18 years of age or older

No experience required and on the job training provided

No high school diploma GED or college degree required

Preferred Qualifications :

Customer service experience

1 year of similar work experience

Responsibilities :

• Sweep mop scrub and vacuum floors using manual and powered equipment.
• Strip wax and buff hard surface floors using appropriate chemicals and machinery.
• Operate floor care equipment such as auto scrubbers burnishers and carpet extractors.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of carpets through spot cleaning and deep extraction.
• Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment to prevent injuries and chemical exposure.
• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.
• Assist with other custodial duties as assigned.
