job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProperly troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial equipment. Provides service to the restaurants and professionally communicates the service needed to managers in the restaurants and R&M supervisor. Defines service problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions about work needed to be performed. Consults with the R&M supervisor to get needed parts ordered. Communicates with manufacturers as needed to help with diagnosing problems with equipment. Installs parts ordered for the restaurants in a timely and professional manner. Follows safe work practices and accident prevention procedures. Maintains a neat and orderly truck, along with accurate part and tool inventory. Maintains productivity levels in accordance with company standards. Must learn quickly and adapt to the rapid environment. Excellent positive communication skills. High school graduate / GED or the equivalent Must have a valid driver’s license. Excellent organizational skills. Must be motivated, a self-starter, and able to follow through on duties and assignments with minimal supervision. Flexible work hours to support restaurant needs. This may include occasional after hours and weekends. Must be able to climb ladders, lift up to 50lbs., and comfortable with mounting equipment. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Equal Opportunity Employer, M / F / V / D Three (3) years of experience in foodservice equipment repair, or in a related area. CEFESA certified is a plus. Background experience in gas, electric, and / or steam repairs is a plus.
Job Description
The Equipment Technician provides service in the field to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration, and / or other restaurant equipment.
