The Role
We are looking for an exceptionally motivated Lead QA Engineer to accelerate the development and certification of cutting-edge web and mobile eCommerce applications across our many lines of business : retail delivery / click-and-collect (B2C), wholesale B2B, and CPG brands both via retailer (B2B2C) and D2C where allowed. The role is a foundational piece of a highly visible, business facing team focused on aligning strategic objectives with tactical demands in the cannabis industry, one of the fastest growing and most innovative industries in the US.
Responsibilities
- Craft comprehensive test plans and actively participate in test plan and code reviews to maintain high-quality standards
- Troubleshoot complex issues and engage in in-depth root cause analysis to ensure resolution and quality improvement
- Exhibit ownership and accountability for all assigned tasks, ensuring they are completed with excellence
- Contribute proactively to product feature grooming to ensure quality considerations are embedded from the start
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment, promoting a supportive and productive culture
- Coordinate cross-team activities, ensuring seamless communication and efficiency
- Provide constructive feedback aimed at continuous process improvements

7+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on both manual testing and the development of automated test scriptsProficient in performance testing and site optimization, with substantial experience in testing customer-facing web applications and assessing site performanceSkilled in creating, executing, and troubleshooting automated test suites, with specific experience using frameworks such as Selenium, JMeter or equivalentProficiency with source control tools such as Git or similar.Knowledge of AWS or other cloud technologiesDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team, fostering a positive and productive environmentEngagement and active contribution in planning and continuous improvement initiativesCritical thinking skills for thorough situation analysis and effort estimationA commitment to lifelong learning and knowledge sharing within the teamEffective time management to prioritize and complete tasks efficientlyProficiency in object-oriented programming with languages such as Python or JavaLI-HYBRID
