Manager needs O.R. experience and any Education experience within the last 5 years will suffice but must have O.R. experience neither have to be recent just both within the last 5 years. All Swedish facilities honor active compact license. Travel to Perm position is available 2 years in hospital based education role within 5 years. • education- specific for OR general periop The Nursing Professional Development Specialist (PDS) is a registered nurse with demonstrated expertise in education, adult learning principles, and competency methodology. The Professional Development Specialist functions as a learning facilitator, mentor, advocate, leader, change agent, partner for practice transitions, and champion for scientific inquiry. The Professional Development Specialist initiates and manages change in a variety of clinical settings, collaborating with staff and interdepartmental leaders to assess learning needs and strategically implement educational offerings to achieve excellence through the delivery of evidence-based nursing practice.
• Working knowledge of personal computers using email and Microsoft products, such as Word and PowerPoint, in a Windows 95 operating environment.
• Working knowledge of adult education principles in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of educational activities.
• Ability to set priorities and demonstrate time management skills given the high volume of required educational services.
• Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with clinical staff, managers and directors.
