Patient Account Specialist

A company is looking for a Patient Account Specialist - Remote (OR & WA). Key Responsibilities Screen patients and process Financial Assistance Applications, verifying eligibility and making account adjustments Communicate with patients to address inquiries, assist with payment arrangements, and ensure timely resolution of account balances Perform data entry and maintain customer databases, documenting all interactions and processing necessary transactions Required Qualifications Preferred college coursework in Accounting, Business, Medical Technology, Communications, or Social Work Minimum of 1 year of experience in collections, customer service, billing, or a related medical field Familiarity with government, commercial, and third-party billing is preferred Proficient in MS Office applications and data entry skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team with limited supervision
