DLZ Corporation has an exciting Entry Level Electrical Engineer opportunity in South Bend, IN . Electrical Engineers assist in our Architectural department with building design, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, building control, and IT / data systems.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Perform work under close supervision or provide support to more experienced personnel.
• Load calculations, life cycle costing and energy modeling.
• Prepare sketches and diagrams for use by technicians. Review and check detailed drawings and layouts.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and work in a team environment.
• Review installation of designed equipment / systems for compliance with construction documents.
• Work on a wide variety of project types, scales, and complexity.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, economic and technical feasibility studies, and studies aimed at evaluating alternative systems, equipment, materials, or engineering methods.
• Assist in the preparation of contract specifications, construction cost estimates, and proposals.
• Review Contractor's shop drawing submittals.
• Perform construction monitoring and coordinate field activities.
• Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
