Duties :
- Assign work to subordinates based on employee's capabilities, priorities and difficulty.
- Prepare and facilitate classified and unclassified operational briefings to all levels of staff including SES and Flag officers, concerning their material condition, schedules and operations.
- Communicate with the pertinent representatives and assist in resolving problems that may exist concerning ship reporting requirements and the necessary corrective action.
- Perform a wide range of analytical and administrative duties in connection with conducting, coordinating, and directing reviews or special assessments of management functions and / or programs.
- Provide major input into the development of policy, plans, budget, and procedures to implement the efficient and effective operation of ships assigned to DSM.
- Develop proposals and recommendations to resolve complex problems involving worldwide DSM ship operations and institute corrective actions as appropriate to ensure timely and effective support of the fleet's mission.
Requirements :

GS-13 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following :
Experience monitoring readiness program progress, assessing effectiveness in meeting schedule objectives and milestones, and evaluating overall operational efficiency of ships.Experience preparing and facilitating classified and unclassified operational briefings to leadership including SES and Flag Officers and communicating with key representatives to resolve reporting issues and implement necessary corrective actions.Experience maintaining and updating ship schedules to track missions, Ready for Tasking (RFT) days, and maintenance periods, while utilizing systems such as FTS and MAVEN to produce real-time readiness reports and long-range schedules.Experience performing analytical and administrative duties, including conducting, coordinating, and directing management reviews or special assessments, executing command reviews to ensure effective and compliant resource use, and assisting in the implementation of Integrated Risk Management (RIM) and Quality Management System (QMS).Experience providing major input into policy, plans, budgets, and procedures; developing proposals and recommendations to resolve complex issues affecting worldwide DSM operations; and instituting corrective actions to ensure timely and effective fleet mission support.Additional information :
