Accountant, State And Local Income Tax

The Accountant, State and Local Income Tax assists in the preparation of state / local income tax returns and quarterly provision.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares tax returns and related reports to ensure compliance with all state and local regulations, statutes and ordinances.
  • Assists in preparation of quarterly tax provision and related tax accounting requirements.
  • Monitors state and local tax policies for law changes and assist with determining impact to provision and compliance calculations.
  • Analyzes and reconciles fixed assets.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned including other tax disciplines, i.e., Federal and international compliance.

Job Qualifications

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience.
  • CPA preferred.

    • Work Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant and progressive professional experience in a large public accounting firm or corporation.

    • Skills

  • Knowledge of state and local income tax laws and reporting requirements.
  • Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and OneSource tax software.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
