Job Overview :

The Mental Health Technician- MHT is a member of the multidisciplinary patient care team. Works under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse to provide care to patients with diverse psychiatric illnesses.

Qualifications : Required :

• High school diploma or equivalency required,
• One-1 year of Nurse Aide / Assistant / CHHA / Emergency Medical Technician, or satisfactory completion of an Aide training program,
• 3-5 years of related experience in psychiatric or geriatric-psychiatric services setting required,
• Preferably at least one-1 year experience as a phlebotomist and / or EKG technician with health care background,
• Must successfully complete MMC clinical training orientation,
• Annual BEST certification.
