Branch Manager (Industrial Services)

Summary / objective

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Branch Manager to lead operations at an industrial services branch in Memphis, TN . This leadership role has full accountability for branch performance, including operations, financials, customer satisfaction, and employee development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing or industrial operations , with experience in compressed air systems strongly preferred. The Branch Manager will be responsible for executing company objectives, driving growth, and ensuring operational excellence.

Essential functions

Branch Operations & Oversight

  • Oversee daily branch activities related to operations, sales, service, and administration.
  • Ensure compliance with company operational standards, safety procedures, and policies.
  • Maintain branch facilities, inventory, vehicles, and capital equipment.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage branch budgets, P&L statements, and financial goals.
  • Monitor KPIs such as gross margins, operating expenses, sales revenue, and accounts receivable.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements to enhance profitability.
  • Sales & Business Development

  • Drive business growth through customer acquisition, retention, and cross-selling strategies.
  • Build and expand relationships with clients in industrial and manufacturing sectors.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote company products and services, including compressed air solutions.
  • Customer Experience & Issue Resolution

  • Serve as the escalation point for high-level customer issues.
  • Monitor customer feedback and lead continuous improvement efforts in service delivery.
  • Represent the company professionally in the local market and build strong community relationships.
  • Team Leadership & Development

  • Hire, supervise, mentor, and evaluate branch staff to meet performance expectations.
  • Foster a team-oriented, performance-driven culture aligned with company values.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to support employee growth.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Support company vision through local execution of business plans and initiatives.
  • Provide input on market conditions, competition, and customer needs.
  • Recommend enhancements to products, processes, or services to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Supervisory responsibilities

  • Directly supervises all branch personnel, including sales, service, operations, and administrative staff.
  • Responsible for recruiting, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and professional development.
  • Ensures proper staffing to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Promotes a positive work environment that supports employee engagement and retention.
