About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for Consumer and Shopper Understanding in North America. This strategic leadership role is pivotal in driving a deep understanding of consumers and shoppers to inform business decisions and foster growth across the brand portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of over 20 insights professionals, championing integrated, data-driven decision-making, and inspiring innovation and brand growth. This includes translating insights into opportunities for product innovation, brand positioning, and go-to-market strategies, as well as identifying emerging trends and cultural shifts. The role demands a visionary leader with a proven track record in CPG strategy, consumer and shopper insights, or analytics, and the ability to influence at the highest levels of the organization. Candidates for this role at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in the relevant fields, with a strong background in leveraging a wide range of data sources to drive strategic decisions. The role requires exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and commercial acumen, as well as strong leadership and influencing skills. The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker, adept at building and developing high-performing teams, and capable of fostering a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous learning. A Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, statistics, or a related field is required, with a Master's degree considered a plus. The VP will also be responsible for financial stewardship, managing the CSU research budget, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
