job_description.job_card.job_descriptionCommunicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal Manages the grade control systems utilized in equipment sold, rented, and serviced Coordinates grade control demonstrations with the internal sales force and customers Provides product support and training during demonstrations, as well as after-sales support and training Develops and maintains a complete working knowledge of the manufacturer’s Smart construction products, as well as Topcon Grading Systems Promotes grade control systems directly with salespersons and customers as needed through rental, demos, sales, field visits, and office visits Develops an awareness of the competition, competitive products, and industry trends Understands customers’ overall equipment needs and identifies new areas of business opportunity Sells equipment, parts, accessories, rentals, and service as a total customer solution and builds long-term relationships within the territory to maximize customer and company profitability Provides timely follow-up on each sale to ensure customer satisfaction Uses company systems and tools to document, track, follow up, and capture all sales and product support activity in a timely and accurate manner Ensures consistent and reliable on-site attendance High School Diploma or Equivalent Exceptional communication skills with the proven ability to effectively present technology information and train new users Ability to learn heavy equipment operation for demonstration and training. Knowledge of and experience with GPS products and problem-solving technical issues Intermediate to advanced understanding of computer networks, systems and software, and construction-related principles Land / Construction Surveying knowledge - with the ability to utilize Land / Construction Surveying equipment Customer Service oriented Pushes / Pulls / Lifts / Carries up to 50 pounds without assistance Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold and wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes / odors Physical ability to perform maintenance on equipment for extended hours, with continual mounting and dismounting throughout the workday Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition
