Location : On-site in Akron, OH

Schedule : Monday-Friday

Salary : $50,000 - $60,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities (Accounts Payable Specialist) :

Review and verify invoices and check requests

Sort, code, and match invoices

Set invoices up for payment and process check runs

Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date

Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues

Maintain vendor files and manage vendor correspondence

Assist with month-end closing and provide supporting documentation for audits

Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist in reconciling general ledger accounts

Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments

Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies

Qualifications (Accounts Payable Specialist) :

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role

Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
