The CAD Designer supports the Wideband Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Operations and Technical Support II (WSOTS II) program located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This position captures and updates baselined Plant in Place (PiP) documentation at the Wideband SATCOM Operations Centers (WSOC) and Regional SATCOM Support Centers (RSSC). This position requires domestic and international travel up to 25% and is not eligible to work remotely or from home.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Primary responsibilities include :
- Physical configuration capture, review, and redlining Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) technical documentation, which includes :
Equipment specifications
Subsystem circuit characteristicsWiring power panel systemsSubsystem connection diagramsRack elevations at various Continental U.S. (CONUS) and Outside the Continental U.S. (OCONUS) customer site locationsOther duties include but are not limited to :Perform system analysis of the Wideband SATCOM Operational Management System (WSOMS) for the purposes of documenting system configurations within the PIP drawing packagesProduce technical writingCollect and enter dataSupport supervising final assembly of documentHelp ensure delivery of final technical document per scheduleEdit trip reports as requestedCandidates exhibit the following desired characteristics :
Maintain attention to detail across multiple technical data sectionsPossess skill in prioritization and multi-taskingAble to use process control to ensure data integrityQualifications :
Active DoD Secret clearance required; Top Secret preferred and will be required at a later dateSome experience with AutoCAD requiredPreferred Qualifications :
