OPTI STAFFING GROUP IS HIRING!Opening : CNC Machinist / Programmer City : Kent, Wa WHO THEY ARE : We pride ourselves on being the Pacific Northwest’s trusted source for both high-quality metal and expert fabrication. Located in Kent, Washington, we supply an extensive range of materials—including stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel, high-strength alloys, and hard-to-find specialty metals—to industries ranging from construction and manufacturing to aerospace, marine, and custom fabrication shops. We believe our customers deserve more than just raw material. That’s why we offer full in-house processing services using advanced equipment like water jet cutters, high-powered lasers, plasma cutters, and CNC-controlled press brakes. We can cut, bend, roll, drill, and shape metal to meet even the most complex requirements, all while ensuring precision, consistency, and quick turnaround times. WHAT YOU'LL DO : You’ll take customer requests, figure out the most efficient way to make their parts, and prepare accurate quotes for our sales team. Once a job is approved, you’ll program CNC mills and lathes—using MasterCAM—to produce high-precision parts from metals like stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and other exotic materials. You’ll also create setup instructions, tool lists, and fixtures so other machinists can run jobs correctly the first time. Part of your role is hands-on machining—setting up, running, and inspecting parts yourself—and part of it is leading others, training machinists, and delegating work to make sure production is safe, efficient, and meets our tight tolerances. You’ll be involved in continuous improvement, finding ways to make processes faster, more accurate, and more cost-effective, while ensuring we meet AS quality standards. At the end of the day, your work directly impacts our company’s ability to deliver high-quality, precision-made parts to customers—on time, every time. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU : $35-$48 / hr DOE! M-F, 6a-pm Comprehensive benefits package WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE : First, you’ll need at least 5 years of CNC programming experience and solid knowledge of Mastercam —that’s the software we use to create programs for our mills and lathes. You should be comfortable writing and modifying NC programs, understanding G & M codes, and applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) so parts meet exact specifications. You’ll also need strong machining experience—at least 8 years working with both mills and lathes—because this isn’t just a programming job. You’ll be working directly with materials like stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, nickel, and other exotic alloys, so you need to know how to choose tools, set feeds and speeds, and design fixtures that make machining easier and more precise. Because you’ll be leading a small team, leadership and communication skills are just as important as your technical ability. You’ll need to train and guide other machinists, delegate tasks, and work closely with sales, customers, and other departments. Finally, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a focus on safety and quality are essential. You should be comfortable in a fast-paced industrial environment, have experience with precision measuring tools, and be committed to producing accurate, repeatable results.
