Experience and knowledge of PMS and PPMS (payroll processes), NYCAPS (personnel), CityTime Extensive knowledge of Fair Labor and Standards Act (FLSA) Overtime processing rules. Extensive knowledge of contractual overtime processing rules. Experience with application configuration design and set-up. Knowledge and experience in IBM Mainframe environments, QMF, SQL, MS SQL Server. Understanding of relational databases (e.g. DB2). Proficiency running back-end / database queries for data analysis (DB2 on Mainframe). Clearly document and explain problems and to work with others to resolve software defects while ensuring Ability to demonstrate the ability to plan, manage time according to schedules, and status reporting.

The initiative for this project is to modernize and maintain payroll systems to ensure accurate and compliant processing of employee compensation and tax documentation. The Business Analyst will support key HR Payroll applications, focusing on implementing tax updates and regulatory changes, improving system reliability and data accuracy through rigorous testing and simulation, and translating business needs into actionable technical solutions. The role also ensures compliance with labor laws and contractual obligations, contributing to data integrity, transparency, and accountability in payroll operations. Additionally, the initiative promotes interoperability across related HR and timekeeping systems.
