We’re looking for a Experienced Catering Kitchen Staff to anchor our in-house catering operation. This role is ideal for someone who’s efficient, organized, and ready to grow into a leadership position. You’ll manage solo prep during the week and oversee food service alongside a small team (4–8 people) during event execution for brunch or dinner service. If you love structured service with a flexible weekly rhythm, this could be your perfect fit.

This is a consistency-focused kitchen—our catering menus are well-established, so precision and professionalism are what matter most. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in executing consistent, high-quality prep without improvisation or deviation. Just solid, reliable work that makes the rest of the team shine.

What You’ll Do :

  • Handle independent kitchen prep during the week with confidence and efficiency.
  • Lead kitchen staff during events, ensuring smooth service and clean execution.
  • Manage food & beverage inventory, dry storage, and dish systems.
  • Oversee ordering, receiving, and kitchen equipment needs.
  • Keep the kitchen organized, stocked, and running like clockwork including dishwashing.
  • Coordinate and execute buffet-style service.
  • Practice excellent time management and maintain a clean, calm kitchen culture.

Who We’re Looking For :

  • Reliable, efficient, punctual and highly organized.
  • Comfortable working solo and leading a small team.
  • Experienced in kitchen prep flow, food safety, and service timing. Servsafe or equivalent certification required. Allergen training certification.
  • Clear communicator, both written and spoken, with a positive, hospitality-first mindset.
  • Spreadsheet-savvy for database and inventory management.
  • Committed to consistency, accuracy, and follow-through—every recipe, every time.
  • Extra hours may available for those with pastry or cake experience.
  • Schedule & Compensation :

  • Start with a 20 hour / wk trial period for 30 days. Somewhat flexible schedule for weekday kitchen prep duties; nights and weekends for event service required.
  • Typical schedule : Thursday – Sunday.
  • Competitive hourly (based on experience) tips for work during event hours. We believe in paying fairly and growing together.
  • Negotiable : Commercial Kitchen use for your own side hustle, cooking classes or creative ventures.
  • From Line to Leadership. Whether you’re a seasoned chef or a talented cook ready to level-up, this role offers a clear path to expanded hours and growth into Kitchen Management—an opportunity to lead in a proven catering operation and contribute to meaningful events from behind the scenes.
